ACCEPTING APPLICATIONSBrand + Marketing Manager
Full-Time · Kern County / Los Angeles, CA · Hybrid
We are looking for a Brand + Marketing Manager who operates at the intersection of strategy and execution. Someone who has built and managed client relationships, run multi-account workflows, and understands that excellent brand work does not happen by accident. It happens because the right person is driving it every day.
You have taste. You know the difference between work that is good enough and work that is excellent, and you hold that standard for everything that leaves your hands.
Purveyor is a strategy-first brand consultancy. We work with developers, founders, and legacy business leaders who are building something worth building. Our clients trust us to protect what they are creating and guide how it shows up in the world. As Brand + Marketing Manager, you are the person who keeps that standard alive across every account you touch.
You elevate the work around you. Your thinking raises the bar. Your execution sets the pace.
Drive, intuition, and initiative are non-negotiable. A growth mindset is how we operate.
What You'll Own
Day-to-day brand and marketing execution. You manage the full scope of assigned client accounts. Content strategy, copywriting, client coordination, and pipeline management all live with you. You are the connective tissue between strategy and output.
Content strategy and production. You define the content strategy across assigned accounts and own the standard for what goes out. You set the brief, shape the direction, and ensure execution lands where it needs to. The details get handled. Your job is to make sure nothing leaves without purpose behind it.
Client relationships. You represent Purveyor at the account level with professionalism and strategic clarity. You build trust with clients, communicate proactively, and ensure the work stays aligned with their goals. You anticipate what is needed before it is asked for.
Pipeline ownership. You identify time-sensitive brand moments and activate on them. You manage the content pipeline from opportunity through to published post with full accountability at every stage.
Setting the standard. You raise the quality bar for everything around you. You mentor, you model, and you move the work forward. You create clarity where there is ambiguity and hold the line on what excellent looks like.
What We Need From You
You act on what you see. When the story is in front of you, you build from it.
You write with purpose. Every word serves a positioning goal.
You brief clearly. The creative team should never have to guess at your intent.
You manage with accountability. Your due dates affect the team and the client.
You think beyond the task. You understand how your work connects to larger business outcomes.
You lead without being asked to. You hold the standard even when no one is watching.

How We Work
We value flexibility, autonomy, and trust, paired with clear expectations around results, communication, and professionalism.
Getting the job done at Purveyor means work that is complete, accurate, and delivered on time. It means taking action, following through, and communicating clearly. Anticipation matters here. We expect you to spot gaps, raise considerations early, and think about what others may need to move the work forward.
Deadlines are firm. Your due dates affect others' work. Missed deadlines, dropped details, or breakdowns in communication create downstream issues for the team and the client.
This role is hybrid. Bakersfield presence is required at least once a week for team collaboration, client-facing days, and key working sessions. Kern County or Los Angeles-based candidates strongly preferred.
