ACCEPTING APPLICATIONSOperations Manager
Operations Manager Full-Time Β· Bakersfield, Kern County / Los Angeles, CA Β· Hybrid
We are looking for a Operations Manager who understands that excellent creative work runs on excellent infrastructure. Someone who has stepped into a business, assessed what exists, and made it better. Someone who does not need to be managed to know what needs to happen next.
You are analytical and linear. You think in systems and outcomes. You thrive behind the scenes and catch problems before anyone else knows they exist.
Purveyor is a strategy-first brand consultancy. We work with developers, founders, and legacy business leaders who are building something worth building. As Business Operations Manager, you are the person who keeps the business running at the standard our clients expect from us.
This role reports directly to the CEO. You are not client-facing. Your clients are the team.
What You'll Own
Business systems and infrastructure. You own Asana across all active projects and retainer accounts. You assess what exists, close the gaps, and build toward systems that scale. You identify opportunities to automate what is repetitive and document what needs to last.
Billing and financial operations. Invoicing, contract compliance, revenue tracking, and margin monitoring all live with you. You ensure billing is accurate, on time, and never a surprise to anyone.
Client onboarding. You manage the operational back-end from contract signature through project kickoff. Clients enter the engagement with clear expectations because you built the process that sets them.
Capacity and resource coordination. You work alongside the Project Manager to ensure the team is resourced appropriately across all active work. You see constraints before they become problems.
Business health reporting. You lead quarterly reviews with the CEO and provide real-time visibility into what is happening across the business. The CEO should not have to ask.
What We Need From You
You walk in ready to operate. No ramp-up on the fundamentals.
You are proactive by default. You see what is coming before it arrives.
You find the gaps. Then you close them.
You automate what should not require a human every time.
You communicate with precision. Data is accurate. Issues come with context and a path forward.
You protect the team's time by owning the layer that would otherwise fall on them.
